Lecture Performances
Indernet Festival in Keulen

How do you live in a world that's not designed for you? Where you're seen as the Other. Not even human. Are we a flaw in the system or is the system a flaw in us? These questions arose during the creation of dance theatre performance CTRL+ALT+IDENTITY. A decolonial process where henna-art, movement, costumes, music and togetherness are key in telling marginalized stories of Women of Colour.
This lecture performance invites you to experience a fragment of the creation process of CTRL+ALT+IDENTITY (CAI). Within this process marginalized stories of Women of Colour are centered and participants are asked to be mindful to this. Shila, Shawita, Ruby and Anima, the four dancers of CAI, will guide you in telling your story through henna-art, movement and the unique costume-design of Kaam Kari La.
The aim is to explore and tell our stories through other ways of expressing than words. To claim a space where we can share and understand each other. Despite all systemic violence that scattered our communities over the world, we have always been connected.
